Dehradun, 10 Apr: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed profound grief and heartfelt condolences over the demise of senior journalist Bhaskar Pokhriyal. In his message of tribute, the CM observed that the departed journalist’s simple nature and unwavering dedication to the field of journalism would always be remembered by the fraternity and the public alike. Dhami offered prayers for the peace of the departed soul and sought divine strength for the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss during such a difficult time.
Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari has also expressed his deep condolences on the passing of the senior journalist. He noted that Bhaskar Pokhriyal had made significant contributions to the profession and his absence would be deeply felt in the media landscape of the state. The information department and various members of the journalistic community have also paid their respects
It may be recalled that Pokhriyal was presently working as Bureau In charge with Dainik Bhaskar and was suffering from liver failure for some time. He was previously also associated with BJP and was considered close to former Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishak but had eventually fallen out with him, following which he switched over to full time journalism.
