Dehradun, 8 Feb: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed happiness over the huge win for the BJP in the Delhi Assembly elections. On his social media accounts, CM Dhami claimed that he himself witnessed growing anger among the people against Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government over the past few years and that this is one of the major reasons for AAP’s defeat in the Delhi Assembly Elections. He added that the voice of change was heard everywhere and that the public has now shown the change. The CM also credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pro-people policies for BJP’s win and added that the time has come for all-round development in Delhi, ensuring people get their rights.

It may be recalled that BJP has returned to power in Delhi after 27 years, achieving a historic victory in the Delhi elections. Dhami has congratulated all the workers, office bearers, and the victorious candidates. It may also be pertinent to remind here that Dhami also spent several days in Delhi, campaigning for the BJP, especially in the constituencies like Patparganj where Uttarakhand migrants are in sizeable numbers. In fact, two BJP candidates of Uttarakhand origin have also won the elections. They are Ravindra Singh Negi from Patparganj, who defeated Avadh Ojha of AAP by a big margin of 23,000 votes, and Mohan Singh Bisht, who two defeated AAP’s Adeel Ahmed Khan from Mustafabad constituency. BJP has managed to win 48 seats in the Delhi Assembly elections.
