Dehradun, 13 Apr: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Secretariat on announcements linked to the assembly constituencies of Didihat, Gangolihat, Kapkot and Bageshwar. During the review meeting, he directed the officials to ensure that government orders (GOs) on pending announcements are issued within twenty days at the most, so that schemes can be implemented without delay. Stressing on the state government’s guiding principle of ‘simplification, resolution, disposal and satisfaction’, Dhami instructed the officials to act swiftly on matters of public interest and to coordinate with local MLAs to resolve implementation issues effectively, thereby sustaining the momentum of development.

The CM asked district magistrates (DMs) to conduct regular reviews of forest land transfer cases at the district level and to expedite procedures so that developmental projects are not obstructed. He also emphasised the need to strengthen departmental coordination in such matters. In an important move, Dhami directed the Chief Secretary to constitute a coordination committee of concerned departments for the maintenance of roads constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). He said that the committee must monitor maintenance work regularly to ensure smooth and safe connectivity in rural areas. With the monsoon season approaching, he instructed that patchwork on all roads be mandatorily completed before the rains.

Dhami laid special emphasis on the development of sports infrastructure, ordering that the funds be released within fifteen days at locations where land has already been made available for playgrounds so that construction can begin promptly and better facilities can be provided to the youth. He further directed that road widening work on the Kanali Chhina–Pipli Bagdigawn motor road be expedited, and that a middle school be operated alongside the Government Model Primary School at Kapkot. In addition, he directed the officials to ensure all necessary arrangements at Bageshwar District Hospital to improve patient facilities.

The CM also asked the officials to accord the highest priority to public welfare works and to ensure time-bound and effective implementation of all schemes. He reiterated that the state government is committed to the overall development of Uttarakhand and will not tolerate any slackness in this regard.

Among those present on the occasion were Didihat MLA Bishan Singh Chufal, Kapkot MLA Suresh Gariya, Bageshwar MLA Parvati Das, Gangolihat MLA Fakir Ram through virtual mode, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram, Special Principal Secretary Amit Sinha, Secretaries Shailesh Bagoli and SN Pandey, departmental secretaries, Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat via virtual mode, Pithoragarh District Magistrate Ashish Bhatgai and Bageshwar District Magistrate Akanksha Konde.
