Dehradun, 21 Jul: State Health and Medical Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat today called on Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya in Delhi, today. On this occasion, he invited the Union Health Minister for the Bhumi Pujan of the approved AIIMS Satellite Centre in Udham Singh Nagar district of the state. Rawat informed the Union Minister about the various health schemes being run in the state. He thanked the Union Health Minister for providing free booster doses of Covid vaccination and for releasing the budget of Rs 1129.35 crore to the state under the NHM.
During the meeting, the Union Health Minister highly appreciated Rawat for better operation of the Ayushman Yojana and Vaccination campaign in the state.
In a statement issued to the media, Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat has stated that, while returning from a Kerala tour, he met Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya in New Delhi, today, and briefed him about various health programmes being run in the state. Rawat revealed that he has also invited the Union Health Minister for the Bhoomi Pujan of the approved AIIMS Satellite Centre in Udham Singh Nagar district, for which the Union Minister has given his consent. He told the Union Minister that a three-day event is being organised in August for better implementation of health services in the state. During the meeting, the Union Minister was informed about the state-run TB-free campaign, implementation of Ayushman Yojana, vaccination campaign and free ambulance service to pick and drop the kidney patients from home including free dialysis in every district hospital of the state. He demanded a separate budget for training nursing staff in each district to reduce child mortality in the state.
