Chamoli, 10 Jun: State Cabinet Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat was on a three–day visit to Chamoli district from yesterday. During the visit, Dr Rawat will review the hospitals and health centers on the Yatra route.
Apart from this, the minister will visit Lord Badri Vishal in Badrinath and participate in various religious and political programs. During his visit, he will also inspect the 50-bed under-construction hospital in Badrinath, and take a meeting of departmental officers regarding the arrangements for the yatra.
In a statement Dr Rawat said that he would be on tour of Chamoli district. During his three–day tour, he will visit Lord Badri Vishal at Badrinath Dham, as well as participate in various programs and departmental meetings organised at Joshimath, Pandukeshwar, Badrinath and Malari.
After this, he will participate in the loan distribution program organised by Mana Multipurpose Instrument Cooperative Society and distribute checks of interest-free loans to the beneficiaries. Dr Rawat will hold a meeting of departmental officers regarding arrangements for the Yatra in Badrinath.
Earlier today, Dr Dhan Singh made a surprise inspection of the hospitals and health centers on the Yatra route and inquired about the health facilities from the medical officers, during this he warned the departmental officers and employees about any kind of problems during the Yatra season and gave instructions not to be lax.
