Haridwar, 12 Jun: Under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Dhiraj Singh Garbyal, a meeting was organized in connection with the celebration of International Yoga Day on June 21, 2023, on the theme “Har Ghar Aangan Yoga” at the Collectorate Auditorium.
In the meeting, District Ayurvedic and Unani Officer Rajeev Kumar Verma gave detailed information to the DM regarding the celebration of International Yoga Day at Harkipedi. It is based on the theme of “Har Ghar Aangan Yoga“, under the joint support of the District Administration, Shri Ganga Sabha and DPS, in which school children as well as citizens will participate.
Dhiraj Singh Garbyal took information regarding the program of International Yoga Day from the District Ayurvedic and Unani Officer in the meeting, and instructed him that the timing of the program of International Yoga Day will be from 7 to 8 in the morning at all the places and the Common Yoga Protocol will be followed.
In the meeting, the DM instructed the officers that eminent persons, public representatives, cabinet members, honorable legislators and others should also be invited on International Yoga Day. He also directed the officers to plan for live streaming of the yoga practice program of the Chief minister at the yoga site.
Garbyal directed the officials of the Municipal Corporation to ensure proper arrangements for cleanliness at the program venue. He instructed the Chief Medical Officer that proper arrangements should be made for medical facilities-ORS, doctors, etc on Yoga Day.
He directed the officers to ensure that whatever preparations have to be made regarding the venue, security, etc. in connection with the International Day of Yoga are completed well on time.
