Dehradun, 1 Dec: Doon International School celebrated its much-anticipated Sports Day with great enthusiasm, showcasing teamwork, discipline and athletic excellence on Saturday. The event brought together students, teachers and parents in a spirited display of sportsmanship. The school had the honour of welcoming Rear Admiral Mukul Asthana (Retd) as the Chief Guest, whose encouraging words motivated students to strive for excellence. The presence of the Chairman and Directors of the School added grace to the occasion.

The celebration began with an impressive March Past, followed by a series of energetic track events, relays and PT displays, where students from all houses participated with enthusiasm and determination. A key highlight of the day was the announcement of the Overall Championship Trophy, proudly won by Ashoka House for their outstanding performance and team spirit.
The audience enjoyed vibrant drill displays and rhythmic performances that showcased the school’s focus on physical fitness and coordinated effort. In his address, Rear Admiral Asthana praised the students for their discipline and enthusiasm, while the Chairman DS Mann and Directors HS Mann, Sonika Mann commended the collective efforts of teachers, coaches and students in making the event a grand success.
The programme concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the achievements of young athletes and reinforcing the values of perseverance, teamwork and school spirit.
