Dehradun, 16 Dec: In compliance with the instructions given by Municipal Commissioner of Dehradun, Namami Bansal, the Land Section of the Dehradun Municipal Corporation (Doon Nagar Nigam) constituted three separate teams and carried out demolition and removal drives across the Municipal areas. Two illegal tin-shed shops, 17 ramps built on the road outside buildings (which were obstructing traffic) on the route leading to Panache Valley, Sahastradhara Road, and illegal barbed wire fences and boundary walls constructed on Municipal land were all demolished.
Furthermore, these teams also conducted extensive inspection drives in the Kanwali Road and Paltan Bazaar areas, carrying out a comprehensive campaign against encroachments on footpaths and roads. With the support of the police force, the teams took action to remove temporary and illegal encroachments in their designated areas.
