Dehradun, 14 Nov: Dehradun SSP Ajai Singh has informed that Subodh Kumar, the gang leader of the robbery gang which is accused of carrying out the robbery at Reliance Jewellers Showroom at Rajpur Road here on 9 November, is being interrogated by Dehradun Police in Latur Maharashtra where he is presently under the custody of Latur Police. He had been in the past arrested in Bihar. During his imprisonment in a Bihar jail, Kumar was allegedly involved in leading several robberies across various states in the country with the help of his associates. More than 24 cases of serious criminal cases are presently registered against Subodh Kumar and his gang in various states.
According to an estimate, the gang is accused of committing robberies of jewellery worth more than Rs 115 crore across the country in the recent past itself, while Kumar, the gang leader was lodged in a Bihar jail. Now he was brought to Latur in Maharashtra by Maharashtra Police in connection with a robbery at a jewellery showroom in Latur.
According to Dehradun SSP Ajai Singh, gang leader Subodh Kumar has been brought to Latur on police custody remand by Maharashtra Police, where accused Subodh is being thoroughly interrogated by the Doon Police team.
