Ecole Globale girls do well at Karate Championship

DEHRADUN, 30 Sep: The students of Ecole Globale International Girls’ School participated in the 4th All India Mussoorie Open Karate Championship 2019, a national level sports event held at Shagun Palace, Town Hall, and won a total of 4 medals. In the Championship, 300 students from schools across Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Manipur, and Uttarakhand participated. Five students of Ecole Globale participated in the championship. Hridita Chowdhury won 1 silver and 1 bronze medal, Anwari Dilawari won 1 silver medal and Kriti Adesara won 1 bronze medal. Commenting on the students’ win, Tarunjyot Juneja, Director, Ecole Globale International Girls’ School, said, “We are happy to see our students performing well in the Karate Championship. Our girls have again brought laurels to their Alma Mater. My heartiest congratulations to the participants and the winners.” Present on this occasion were Sanjeev Kumar Jhangra, Chief Secretary of Karate Federation and Hemraj Sharma, UKF Referee Council.
