DEHRADUN, 28 Apr: The Foundation Day of Graphic Era Hill University was celebrated, today, by taking an oath that life would be made easy by using technology. President Graphic Era Group Prof (Dr) Kamal Ghanshala said that new thinking and new technologies had made life easier in every phase.
On this day in 2011, the foundation of Graphic Era Hill University was laid. Only in a span of three months from its foundation day, both the campuses in Dehradun and Bhimtal (Nainital) had started functioning.
Dr Ghanshala said that education was most efficacious when it provided the right path in facing the challenging times and made life easy. He said that robots, drones, face shields, etc., prepared by the students and alumni of Graphic Era University for the protection of police, administration, doctors treating the COVID-19 patients were an example of how such education could impact life.
To make the lockdown successful, Graphic Era arranged online education from 23 March for its students residing in 25 states, 6 union territories and 9 Nations. To not impair even one day of education, this online methodology was adopted and, later on, this system was adopted by the entire nation. Ghanshala said that the new Campus in Haldwani would begin operations from the coming session. Dr Ghanshala conveyed his wishes to the students and faculty on the occasion of foundation day and asked them to stay safe.
The Foundation Day was celebrated online because of the lockdown. Vice Chancellor, Graphic Era Hill University Prof (Dr) Sanjay Jasola, greeted the Founder of Graphic Era Education Group and Chancellor Graphic Era Hill University Prof (Dr) Kamal Ghanshala. Vice Chancellor, Graphic Era Deemed University, Prof (Dr) Rakesh Kumar Sharma was also present. Online singing, painting and poetry competitions were organised as part of the celebration.
