Education Minister conducts surprise inspection of DIET & Vidya Samiksha Kendra

Dehradun, 4 Dec: The State’s School Education Minister, Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, conducted a surprise inspection of the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) and Vidya Samiksha Kendra, here, today. During the visit, he reviewed the activities of the Vidya Samiksha Kendra and gave necessary directions to the departmental officials for the proper management of all activities.

Dr Rawat conducted the surprise inspection as part of his ongoing efforts. During his visit to DIET Dehradun, he closely inspected various facilities including the computer room, hostel, library, and toilets. He gave necessary instructions to the officials and directed the Principal of DIET to enhance the effectiveness of the training programmes. During this visit, the Minister also interacted with the teachers undergoing training, inquiring about the quality of the programmes and their experiences.

Following this, Dr Rawat inspected the Vidya Samiksha Kendra, where he observed the online attendance of teachers and non-teaching staff and reviewed other ongoing activities. He instructed the officials to ensure the timely completion of the centre’s objectives and ensure that all activities are conducted in a well-organised manner. Dr Rawat also called for the formulation of a solid strategy for the effective operation of Vidya Samiksha Kendra.

Additionally, the Minister directed the officials to prioritise the resolution of the issue of schools without network connectivity. He asked them to organise a meeting under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate of the concerned districts to resolve network-related problems promptly.

The meeting was attended by the Director General, School Education, Jharnna Kamthan, Director, Basic Education, RK Uniyal, In-charge Director, Secondary Education, SB Joshi, Additional Director, Dr Mukul Sati, and other departmental officials.
