DEHRADUN, 12 Jul: A Financial Literacy Awareness Programme (FLAP) was organised here, today, at the Nehru Auditorium, ONGC Academy. The programme started with the traditional lighting of the lamp by ED-HoI, KDMIPE, Dr Harilal, HoI-GEOPIC, UC Saxena, GGM(HR)-Head Trusts Kusuma Ambedkar, and Keynote speaker, Director, EIFS, Varun Malhotra. Dr Harilal ED- Head KDMIPE presided over the Financial Seminar. Varun Malhotr taught nuances of Personal Finance and Investments to ONGC employees present on the occasion. Earlier, speaking on the occasion, Dr Harilal appreciated this endeavour of the ER group and hoped for more such programmes on a regular basis. ED-Head, GEOPIC, UC Saxena highlighted the need for proper strategy in personal financial investment. GGM (HR)- Head, Trusts, Kusuma Ambedkar disclosed that more such programmes were planned at other ONGC work centres under the guidance of Board of Trustees and ED-Chief ER Alok Misra. A large number of ONGC employees participated in the seminar organised by ONGC Employees Welfare Trusts- Employee Relations Group and put forth various questions regarding available investment possibilities which were answered by Varun Malhotra satisfactorily explaining various aspects of financial investments for different age groups. CD Singh GM (F&A), Manendra Kumar, Amit Bharti, Bhaskar Gupta, Dr Ram Krishna Tripathi, Mrityunjay Mishra, CP Sant, Raj Kumar, Sukhdev Raj, Anita Shashwat, AK Goyal and Naval Kishor were present as part of the organising committee.
