Fire Dept conducts Intensive Inspection in Mussoorie

Mussoorie, 14 Dec: Prioritising public safety and preventing potential fire accidents in the city, the Fire and Emergency Services Department conducted an intensive inspection campaign, here, today. In compliance with the directives of the Inspector General of Police, Fire and Emergency Services, Uttarakhand, Dehradun, and the Chief Fire Officer, Dehradun District, the Town Hall, clubs, bars, restaurants, and banquet halls in the Mussoorie area were inspected for fire safety under the leadership of In-charge Fire Officer, Mussoorie, Dheeraj Singh Tadiyal.
During the inspection, the fire extinguishers, fire alarm systems, emergency exits, electrical wiring, and fire safety equipment installed in the establishments were thoroughly examined. While many establishments were found to be in compliance with required standards, deficiencies were identified in some establishments and owners and management were instructed to make immediate improvements.

In-charge Fire Officer Dheeraj Tadiyal stated that in the tourist town of Mussoorie, a large number of tourists and locals gather in public places throughout the year, making it extremely important to adhere to fire safety standards. He instructed establishment operators to regularly inspect firefighting equipment, provide basic firefighting training to employees, and ensure safe evacuation in case of an emergency. He warned that strict action will be taken against establishments found violating fire safety rules in the future. This campaign by the Fire Department will continue to make Mussoorie a safe tourist destination.
