Dehradun, 13 Mar: In a significant development, the Uttarakhand government has issued an order promoting several State Forest Service Cadre officers to the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Cadre. In this regard, a Civil Service Board meeting scheduled after Holi is expected to finalise new postings for Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers.
A total of seven officers from the State Forest Service (SFS) have been promoted to the Indian Forest Service (IFS). The selection list for these officers has also been released. The promoted officers have been given the selection and IFS batch year too.
Karuna Nidhi Bharti, Umesh Chand Tiwari, Naveen Chandra Pant, Prakash Chandra Arya, Rangnath Pandey have been given the IFS Selection Year 2021. At the same time Devi Prasad Baluni and Dhruv Singh Martolia have been given the IFS Selection year 2023.
Meanwhile, the Civil Service Board meeting, which was initially planned before Holi but postponed due to officials’ busy schedules, will now take place after the festival. The meeting will determine new responsibilities and postings for IFS officers in the department.
Additionally, changes at the headquarters level are being considered, particularly in the roles of Conservator of Forests and Divisional Forest Officers (DFOs). The final decision on these administrative changes will be taken in the upcoming Civil Service Board meeting.
With these developments, many officers are set to take on new roles and responsibilities in the Uttarakhand Forest Department after Holi.
