DEHRADUN, 12 Sep: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi on Saturday launched the trailer, poster and a song from the Garhwali film “Beera”, produced by Bala-G Production, at a private hotel in Dehradun, on Saturday.
Written and directed by Debu Rawat the film Beera is based on the theme of women’s empowerment.
Joshi congratulated and extended his best wishes to the entire team for producing the film and expressed his hope for its success.
The minister said that the film is a commendable effort to take Uttarakhand’s rich folk languages, culture and traditions to audiences across the country and around the world. He said that films like “Beera” can play an important role in highlighting women’s empowerment and strengthening the portrayal of women’s role in society.
He further said that greater encouragement to regional cinema of Uttarakhand would provide local artists, folk artists and the youth with better opportunities to showcase their talent. Extending his best wishes to the entire team, Ganesh Joshi expressed confidence that “Beera” would be well received by audiences and achieve new milestones of success.
On the occasion, Rishikesh Mayor Shambhu Paswan, Gadh Ratna Narendra Singh Negi, Jagar Samrat and Padma Shri awardee Pritam Bhartwan, along with the film’s cast and other members associated with its production, were present.
