Mussoorie, 2 Apr: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi participated in a workshop held in Mussoorie as part of the two-day BJP’s Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Training Mega-Campaign. During the event, he provided party workers with detailed information regarding the BJP’s principles and policies, as well as the public welfare schemes of, both, the Central and State governments. He urged the workers to ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach every household. He stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party has today emerged as the world’s largest political party—a feat primarily attributed to its strong leadership and the effective, timely decisions taken by it. He added that, under the leadership of Narendra Modi and Pushkar Singh Dhami, both the nation and the state are rapidly marching towards development.

Speaking to reporters, Ganesh Joshi declared that the bugle for the 2027 Assembly elections has already sounded, and called upon party workers to dedicate themselves to strengthening the organisational structure right down to the booth level. He expressed confidence that, in 2027, a BJP government would once again be formed in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Launching an attack on the opposition, he remarked that many political parties appear like “tourists” during election season only to vanish afterwards; however, the public knows exactly who has genuinely worked on the ground. He further noted that the Congress party is currently entangled in its own internal disputes and ought to focus on setting its own organisational house in order first.
Providing a major update regarding the construction of a second Bailey bridge on the Mussoorie-Dehradun route, the Cabinet Minister announced that the necessary procedures have already commenced. He explained that the delay in construction was due to the process of obtaining permission to remove trees—a formality that has now been successfully completed. He asserted that the second bridge would be ready by 16 April. Additionally, he informed the gathering that a proposal for the construction of a permanent bridge (a concrete structure) has also been approved, a move expected to further strengthen the region’s traffic management system in the future.
Ganesh Joshi stated that his assembly constituency suffered extensive damage during the recent disaster, but the government provided immediate relief. He noted that he personally extended assistance worth approximately Rs 5 crore to the victims through various channels. He emphasised that the government stood with the public at every step during the crisis, thereby further strengthening the people’s trust.
Regarding the shortage of gas cylinders in Mussoorie, he stated that discussions have been held with officials from the Supply Department. Instructions have been issued to increase the quota of commercial gas cylinders to provide relief to both traders and the general public.
In conclusion, he affirmed that the primary objective of the BJP government is to accelerate development initiatives. Through a comprehensive training campaign, party workers are not only being apprised of the party’s policies but are also being prepared to establish effective communication channels with the public. During the event, the assembled workers expressed their enthusiasm for the government’s schemes and pledged to ensure their benefits reach the common people.

Present on this occasion were Mandal President Rajat Agarwal, Municipal Council Chairperson Meera Saklani, District Panchayat Member Veer Singh Chauhan, along with Mohan Petwal, Arvind Semwal, Satish Dhoundiyal, and other BJP workers from the Mussoorie Mandal.
