Dehradun, 26 Mar: Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) met members of the Bharat Himalayan International Strategic Forum (BHISHM) think tank at the Lok Bhavan, here, today.
The Governor held detailed discussions on various strategic and global issues, drawing on the members’ extensive experience and deep knowledge.
Senior former military officers and subject experts from the think tank also deliberated on the current global scenario and its national implications. The meeting included in-depth discussions on the evolving nature of modern warfare, cyber and technological dimensions, energy security, and the potential impact on the global economy.
On this occasion, the Governor appreciated the insights and experience shared by the experts. He stated that the global landscape is rapidly changing and emphasised that alongside traditional warfare, technological, informational, and economic dimensions have become equally important. He added that such meaningful and in-depth discussions will not only strengthen policy-making but also play a crucial role in understanding emerging challenges and finding effective solutions.
