Gov interacts with graduating IMA cadets

Dehradun, 11 Dec: Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) met today at Lok Bhawan with 18 Officer Cadets who are graduating from the Indian Military Academy (IMA). The Governor congratulated all the cadets on their passing out and extended his best wishes for a bright and successful military career.
All these Officer Cadets will now be commissioned into the Assam Regiment. Notably, three of them completed their schooling from Sainik School Kapurthala, Punjab. Expressing special delight, the Governor shared that he too received his early education from Sainik School Kapurthala and rendered distinguished service in the Indian Army under the Assam Regiment.
Lt Gen Singh told the cadets that they are stepping onto a respected and responsible path dedicated to national service. By becoming part of the Indian Army, they will take the nation’s security and culture of discipline to greater heights.
He further advised the cadets that their work must reflect the highest level of professional competence. He urged them to always maintain exemplary conduct, adopt a positive outlook, and move forward with determination while keeping long-term goals in sight.
Extending his best wishes for their future, the Governor expressed confidence that they will represent the traditions, pride, and values of the Indian Army with excellence.
