Nainital, 28 May: Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) was visited by District Magistrate, Nainital, Vandana and SSP PN Meena at the Raj Bhavan, here, today.
The Governor enquired from the officials about various issues, and the law and order situation in the district. The Governor obtained updated information from the District Magistrate regarding forest fires, traffic system, drinking water system and development of other tourist places besides Nainital in the district. The Governor discussed with the officials about increasing the infrastructure facilities for tourists at Kainchi Dham and long-term plans for the district.
After this, MD, KMVN, Dr Sandeep Tiwari also made a courtesy call on the Governor. The Governor enquired from the MD about the activities of KMVN.
