Gov plants tulip bulbs in Raj Bhawan

Dehradun, 21 Dec: Governor Baby Rani Maurya planted tulip bulbs in the Raj Bhawan garden on Monday. This year, the maximum varieties of tulip have been planted here.
Governor Maurya is promoting tulip production in Uttarakhand. She directed the horticulture department to expand the tulip border in the Raj Bhawan. She said that such flowers should be planted in the Raj Bhawan that people involved in floriculture become motivated.
Tulip bulbs were planted for the first time in the Raj Bhawan complex in 2015 by the then Governor. Only 200 bulbs had been planted as an experiment. After that 500 bulbs, each, were planted in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
