Gov praises efforts of National Soldiers’ Organisation to promote national integration

Dehradun, 24 Oct: Officials from the National Soldiers’ Organisation Core Group paid a courtesy visit today on Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) at the Raj Bhavan, here. During the meeting, various activities and future plans of the organisation were discussed in detail. The National Soldiers’ Organisation, a non-political entity operational for 22 years on the principles of “Nation First” and “National Interest Supreme”, currently has over 100,000 members active in 23 states, including dedicated citizens and ex-servicemen.

The Governor, who has been associated with this organisation for a long time, praised its initiatives. He stated, “The efforts of the National Soldiers Organisation in promoting national integration, character building, and moral education are highly commendable. Particularly, raising awareness of moral values and character development among students in schools and colleges is a noteworthy step.”

The Governor encouraged the organisation to recruit more members, asserting that this body of patriotic citizens can play a vital role in nation-building. He expressed confidence that the organisation’s efforts will lead to positive societal changes and strengthen national unity.

Present on the occasion were National Soldiers’ Organisation President Colonel TP Tyagi (Retd), Lieutenant General Ashwini Kumar Bakshi (Retd), Major General ML Aswal (Retd), Major General Ranjeet Singh (Retd), Prabha Mehta, Satyajit, Harishchandra Badrinath Rathore, Captain KP Singh, and Rajan Chhibber, among others.
