KEDARNATH, 3 Oct: Governor Lt-General Gurmit Singh (Retd) reached Kedarnath on Monday morning and received blessings after having darshan of Baba Kedar. He prayed to Baba Kedar for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state. He also met the devotees who had come to see Baba Kedar.
During the Kedarnath tour, the priests met the Governor and apprised him of all the arrangements at the Dham and the possibilities for improvement.
The Governor also visited the statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya after reaching the Samadhi site. He appreciated the work of the Revenue Department, Police Administration, Health Department, NDRF, SDRF posted in Kedarnath and said that the Yatra is becoming pleasant and successful only due to the mutual coordination of the departments.
On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate, Rudraprayag, Deependra Negi, SDM Yogendra Singh, Kedar Sabha President Vinod Shukla, Kedarnath Executive Engineer, DDMA, Praveen Karnwal, etc., were present.
