Champawat, 18 Feb: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Sapteshwar Mahadev Temple here on the occasion of Mahashivratri and offered prayers to Lord Shiva. On this occasion, he also wished for peace and prosperity of the state. While addressing the people present at the Sapteshwar Mahadev Temple, the CM extended greetings and best wishes to all the people of the region and the people of the state on the occasion of Mahashivaratri. He said that on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivaratri, it is a matter of privilege and great fortune to be participating in the Bhoomi Pujan for the reconstruction of Lord Sapteshwar Mahadev Temple today as the chief servant of Devbhoomi. He said that no one comes to this holy centre of faith where the seven sages did penance, without the blessings of Lord Mahadev. It is because of Mahadev’s blessings that he had the fortune to offer prayers here. He said that the dream that Baba Bhairav Giri, who established the Sapteshwar ancient temple, had seen will soon be fulfilled in the form of a grand and divine reconstruction of the temple. He said that the government will also make several plans for the temple so that the local people get the benefits.
The CM informed that the work of construction of 7 km road for Sapteshwar is going on by the government. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the flag of Sanatan culture is hoisting all over the world and countries all over the world are getting acquainted with the ancient culture of India and its ultimate glory. He said that the Sanatan culture, the emphasis has never been about the “Swa” or the Self but about “Sarva” which means everyone. The prayers in the Sanatan dharma is “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah”, which is wishing benevolence of all. This is the reason why even after thousands of years the world bows down to the Sanatan beliefs and the culture. He called upon the people not to deviate from the path of the Dharma but make every effort to protect and promote the eternal Sanatan culture.
Dhami said that while the spirit of cultural nationalism has rekindled in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the other hand, the state government is also determined and committed for the reconstruction and restoration of the ancient temples of Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand is considered to be the land of Mahadev spiritually and religiously. This is the reason why the mountainous areas of Garhwal division are called Kedarkhand, considering them as the land of Lord Kedarnath, while the mountainous areas of Kumaon division are called Manaskhand, considering the land of Kailash Mansarovar. This is the reason that along with developing the temples of Kedarkhand, the government was moving ahead towards developing the Manaskhand Corridor, under which Kumaon’s Golju Temple, Patal Bhuvaneshwar, Kot Bhramari, Guru Gorakhnath, Maa Purnagiri, Devidhura, Kainchi Dham, and several other temples including Bal Sundari have been taken up for redevelopment in the first phase. Other temples will be taken up in the second phase. For this, the government has prepared a master plan the working is making progress accordingly.
