Dehradun, 4 Jun: Uttarakhand government has again extended the time frame for disposal of pending applications of statehood movement activists up to the year 2021, with the objective of making the identification process more effective and inclusive. Following the approval of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli has issued a government order (GO) in this regard.

As per the revised schedule, the disposal period for applications has now been fixed from 24 July 2026 to 24 September 2026. Copies of the order have been sent to all the divisional commissioners, all the district magistrates and departments concerned for necessary action.

Commenting on the development, the CM stated that the state government is committed to honouring and recognising all genuine activists associated with the Uttarakhand movement. He emphasised that the application process is being simplified and made transparent to ensure that eligible individuals are given adequate opportunity. The officials claim that the latest move by the government is aimed at ensuring that no genuine activist is left out of the recognition process.
