Dehradun, 27 Mar: Uttarakhand Government has issued fresh orders for the appointment of ministers in charge of district planning and monitoring committees after the recent cabinet expansion, to ensure effective supervision of development works across the State. According to the directive released by Principal Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram, all previous orders in this stand superseded following the issue of the latest order in this regard. This step was necessitated following the recent cabinet expansion. A new list has been implemented with the approval of the Governor.
As per the revised arrangement, all the eleven ministers of Dhami Cabinet have been entrusted with responsibilities for different districts to strengthen coordination and oversight of ongoing projects. Senior Minister Satpal Maharaj has been assigned Haridwar, Ganesh Joshi will oversee Tehri and Rudraprayag, Dhan Singh Rawat has been given Almora, Subodh Uniyal will look after Dehradun, Rekha Arya has been entrusted with Pithoragarh, Saurabh Bahuguna will monitor Uttarkashi, Khajan Das has been given Nainital, Bharat Chaudhary will supervise Chamoli and Champawat, Madan Kaushik has been assigned Pauri, Pradeep Batra will oversee Udham Singh Nagar, while Ram Singh Kaira has been entrusted with Bageshwar. The ministers have been appointed as ministers in-charge of their respective districts.
The decision is expected to accelerate the review, monitoring and implementation of development works in the districts, ensuring that projects are carried out more efficiently and in line with the State’s objectives.
