DEHRADUN, 20 Jul: State Health Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat returned from Chamoli today and visited AIIMS Rishikesh, where he inquired about the condition of those injured in the electrocution incident. Dr Rawat asked the AIIMS administration and doctors to provide the best treatment to the injured. He said that the state government is ready to provide all possible help, adding that all the injured are now out of danger.
Dr Dhan Singh expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the Chamoli accident. He reminded that the state government has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the accident and strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty.
He interacted with the AIIMS Director online and gave necessary guidelines for treatment of the patients. He met the doctors engaged in the treatment of the injured and obtained information about their condition.
Dr Rawat revealed that, today, 5 of the injured from Chamoli were airlifted to AIIMS Rishikesh, while 6 were brought yesterday.
Also present were Karnaprayag MLA Anil Nautiyal and Tharali MLA Bhupal Ram Tamta.
