Dehradun, 19 Dec: It was a fun-filled morning of athletic competition and excitement. The Chief Guest was Dr Dinesh Saxena, an eminent educationist.
School President Avadesh Chaudhary, Uma Chaudhary, Counsellor Charu Chaudhary, Principal Dr Anju Tyagi, Senior School Coordinator Harjeet Kaur and Junior School Coordinator Sarika Jain were present at the event. Chief Guest Dr Dinesh Saxena, school President Avadesh Chaudhary and Uma Chaudhary were welcomed with bouquets of flowers. The Junior School Coordinator Sarika Jain introduced the Chief Guest.
The day began with a colourful March Past. It was led by the Heritagians who were dressed up in army like uniforms, followed by the school Head Boy, Priyam Mishra, and the school Head Girl, Spardha Joshi, along with sports captains Shashank Burman and Samridhi Kukreti, and the four houses – Shivalik House, Mandakini House, Mohal House and Saagwan House. The students proudly displayed their house flags and banners. The school sports torch was ignited by Avadesh Chaudhary. It was carried by Adhiraj Chaudhary, Deepika Kainee, Saanvi Thapa, Anannya Chauhan and Sankalp Nautiyal, who have played at the National and State levels.
The school athlete, Sankalp Nautiyal, took the oath along with the students. The sports meet was declared open by Sports Officer Sanjay Thapa. Students released the balloons.
This was followed by a series of track and field events including fun races by classes LKG, UKG and Class One children. Classes 2 to 5 participated in 50 m and 100 m sprint, shuttle race and mixed relay race.
Students also displayed Yoga, Dance, Karate and Formation Drill. The students showcased their impressive skills in their respective events. The spectators cheered on the participants urging them to give their best.
The trophies for Best Athlete for classes 2 to 5 were awarded to boys and girls.

Mohal House won the trophy for Best March Past. The House Championship Trophy was bagged by Shivalik House.
Chief Guest Dr Dinesh Saxena congratulated the students on their achievement and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence.
The school President presented the school memento to the Chief Guest. The vote of thanks was proposed by Kavita Chitkara. The event concluded with rendition of the National Anthem.
