Ritu Khanduri to head panel for selecting Nanda Devi Awards for Braver

Dehradun, 7 Oct: This year the prestigious Nanda Devi Awards are being given to women for their bravery and courage. Former MP and Chairman Shri Nanda Devi Raaj Jaat Poorv Peethika Samiti, Tarun Vijay today met Speaker of Uttarakhand Assembly Ritu Khanduri Bhushan and discussed modalities for the bravery award. Khanduri emphasised that hill women remained unrecognised for their acts of courage hence it was the need of the hour that they were given awards and honoured for their unique bravery and courage.
The other distinguished members of the selection panel are former DGP Anil Raturi, former DGP, Commissioner Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangthan, Uttarakhand Meenakshi Jain, VC Doon University Dr Surekha Dangwal and Joint Secretary of CBSE Uttarakhand JP Chaturvedi.
