Srinagar (Garhwal), 28 Jul: Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University has begun the admission process for candidates who successfully qualified in the University Entrance Test (UET)-2026 for admission to various postgraduate (PG), PG Diploma, B.Ed., B.P.Ed., LLB, and B.Lib. courses for the academic session 2026-27. The University successfully conducted the University Entrance Test (UET)-2026 at various examination centers from June 17 to June 20, 2026. Entrance Test Coordinator Dr Pritam Singh Negi stated that a total of 13,900 candidates had registered for the entrance examination, of which 2,273 were absent, and 9,877 were declared successful. Successful candidates can now submit their options online for admission to their desired courses at various campuses and affiliated colleges/institutes of the University.
According to a notification issued by Professor OP Gusain, Dean of Student Welfare, the admission registration portal will be active from July 29, 2026, to August 5, 2026. He appealed to all eligible candidates to log in to the University’s admission portal within the stipulated period, carefully enter their preferred university campus and affiliated college/institute preferences, and submit the registration fee. Seat allocation will be based on candidate merit, eligibility, the Government of India’s reservation policy, available seats, and the preferences submitted by the candidates. The University’s admission registration portal will be available at the following link: https://hnbguadmission.samarth.edu.in/entrance/. The University clarified that the entire admission process will be completely transparent, merit-based, and in accordance with the Government of India’s reservation rules. Candidates are advised to carefully study the Admission Information Booklet before registration and ensure the correctness and completeness of all the information to be entered during the application. The University administration has appealed to the successful candidates to complete the admission registration process well in time without waiting for the last date, so that they get an opportunity to get admission in the University campus or affiliated college/institute as per their qualification and preference.
