DEHRADUN, 14 Dec: Anganwadi workers have been given a New Year gift by the state government. The honorarium being given to them has been increased by about 25 per cent. The government order in this regard was issued on Friday. This will benefit more than 35,000 Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi assistants and mini Anganwadi workers. The highest honorarium in the country is given to Anganwadi workers in Uttarakhand.
According to this, now Anganwadi workers will get Rs 7500, Anganwadi assistants, Rs 3750, and mini Anganwadi workers, Rs 4750 per month. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has persuaded the Centre for the increase in honorarium.
