IBM SkillsBuild training begins at U’chal School of Computing Sciences

Dehradun, 2 Feb: The inauguration of an Advanced IT Skills Training Programme organised under the IBM SkillsBuild in association with ICT Academy at the Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences, Uttaranchal University, was held today. This program is designed for the final-year students aiming to equip students with industry-relevant cloud computing skills by providing hands-on exposure to modern cloud technologies and tools aligned with IBM standards, thereby enhancing their technical competence and employability in the IT sector. The trainer for the program is Mohd Asim, Manager- IT Consultant & Trainer, ICT Academy.

The Chief Guest was Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice-Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, accompanied by Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Director USCS, Aditya, Senior Manager ICT, Prof (Dr) Sameer Dev Sharma, HoD.

Prof Sonal Sharma emphasised that the program will provide students with industry-oriented knowledge and hands-on experience in cloud technologies, and encouraged all participants to make the best use of this opportunity to enhance their skills and future career prospects.

Prof Dharam Buddhi appreciated the initiative taken by the Centre of Excellence in collaboration with ICT Academy to organise the IBM Advanced IT Skills Training – Cloud Computing program. He stated that such industry-linked training programs are essential for preparing students to meet current technological challenges. He encouraged students to actively participate and utilie this opportunity to strengthen their technical skillss and employability.

This training program will enhance students’ understanding of cloud computing concepts through industry-oriented training and hands-on practice. It will also improve their technical skills and readiness for careers in cloud and related IT domains.

The inauguration ceremony was coordinated by  Gaurav Chaudhary with the support of Manisha Saini and Manisha Khanduja, concluding with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Divya Rawat.
