DEHRADUN, 10 Mar: A two-day annual spring festival was open to all public at the sprawling lawns of Raj Bhawan on 9th and 10th March.The festival named ‘Basantotsav’ showcased commercial and individual flower growers as well as various government organisations which maintain gardens. The festival has been held for the past several years at Raj Bhawan to promote floriculture and create an interest among people in environment and nature.
Institute of Hotel Management has been the part of the ‘Basantotsav’ for the past 8 years and is being setting up Food Court at Raj Bhawan. The main attraction of this year at the Food Court was variety of delicacies/dishes prepared from different varieties of Mushroom like Mushroom Mandua Tarts, Mushroom Patties, Cream of Mushroom Soup and Mushroom Sandwiches. The regional delicacies were also prepared like Ghet ki Kheer and Jhangora ki Kheer.
The food court were managed by Pulkit Bhambi, HOD; Manish Bharti, Sr. Lecturer, Manish Semwal, Sr. Lecturer; U.P.S. Chamyal, Sr. Lecturer; Vivek Kumar, Lecturer; Gyanendra Kumar, Lecturer; Himanshu Chauhan, Assistant Lecturer, Anup Singh Patwal, Assistant Lecturer and a team of 20 students. Dr. Jagdeep Khanna, Principal, IHM appreciated the efforts put in by the team which showcased their culinary expertise. The visitors appreciated the quality and presentation of the various items being showcased at the Food Court.
