Mussoorie, 18 May: At the instructions of higher officials, the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority started removing encroachments on the Doon View side of Mall Road, under the leadership of Sudhir Gupta, Assistant Engineer, near Ambedkar Chowk on Wednesday.
Unauthorised construction was demolished in the area, while a notice was also issued to remove the construction done at Doon Viewpoint above the road. Assistant Engineer Gupta said that work is being done to make the Mall Road fine-looking, while action is also being taken to remove the unauthorised construction. He said that unauthorised construction work was being done on the roadside at Grover Rajni Niwas, which has been demolished by the team with the help of police. Instructions have been given to remove the structure built at Doon Vyam site. The authority is going to take action on some other big constructions as well.
