Illegal encroachments removed in Rudraprayag

Rudraprayag, 14 Jun: In a joint operation of Revenue Department, Public Works Department (PWD) and the Police Force, encroachment at Tuna-Bontha motorway was removed under the supervision of district magistrate, Mayur Dixit.
According to Pratap Singh, Naib Tehsildar taking cognizance of the complaint made by the residents of the area regarding traffic jams and encroachment on the Tuna-Bontha Road, the district magistrate, along with the concerned officials, inspected the motorway and directed  necessary action.
It was reported that notices were issued to the concerned persons to remove the encroachment. Marking of the encroachment was done jointly by the revenue team and the PWD while inspecting the motorway. But the encroachment was not removed by any person and so the identified encroachment was removed by the revenue team and PWD in the presence of the police force today.
The Police force including Kotwali Inspector Jaipal Singh Negi, Assistant Engineer PWD Sanjay Saini, Junior Engineer Rashmi and Revenue Sub-Inspector Punad Shafiq Ahmed were present during the operation.
