The competition is hosted every year in the memory of Albert Barrow, the founder secretary of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, to provide a platform to showcase the creativity and linguistics skills of the students from affiliated schools.

Over the years, this competition has been successful in unearthing the talent that lies in the schools across the length and breadth of the nation.
