Dehradun, 4 Dec: The Dhami Government has appointed former statehood agitationist and journalist Yogesh Bhatt as Information Commissioner.
Orders in this regard were issued on 25 November on behalf of the Secretary in-chagre SN Pandey. The selection committee headed by the Chief Minister has chosen him on the basis of applications received by the government.
The committee consisted of Leader of the Opposition Yashpal Arya and Cabinet Minister Chandanram Das.
Yogesh Bhatt was also very active in the Uttarakhand state movement.
The journalist community has expressed happiness at his selection.
