Jt Chief Electoral Officer Pratap Shah given warm farewell on retirement

Dehradun, 31 May: The Chief Electoral Officer’s office organised a farewell ceremony on the retirement of Joint Chief Electoral Officer Pratap Shah, at the Secretariat, here, today. On this occasion, all the personnel of the Election Office including Secretary Dilip Jawalkar and Chief Electoral Officer Dr BVRC Purushottam were present. Secretary Jawalkar congratulated Shah on completing the age of superannuation and wished him a happy and healthy life ahead.

In his address to the gathering, Chief Electoral Officer Dr BVRC Purushottam said that Pratap Shah worked on various posts as a practical, soft-spoken and efficient officer. Purushottam said that he got the opportunity to work with Pratap Shah while being the Chief Electoral Officer and District Magistrate, Dehradun. He worked on many important posts during his service period. On the strength of his work, he created a different image as an efficient administrative officer.

Speaking on the occasion, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Pratap Shah said that in his 31 years of service, he received the opportunity to work on various posts as an officer of the Revenue Department, Election and Administration and to serve the people. He said that he got the opportunity to work for a long time in the Chief Electoral Office. During his tenure, he always received love and support from colleagues at the government and administration level.

Present at the the farewell ceremony were Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr Vijay Jogdande, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Namami Bansal, Additional Municipal Commissioner Veer Singh Budiyal, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer KS Negi, Mukta Mishra, Nodal Officer (Election Expenditure) Manmohan Mainali, Deputy Director, Information, Ravi Bijarnia, Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Mastu Das and other officers and employees.
