Karmabhoomi Foundation’s ‘Patrakar Samman’ event to be held in Almora on 18 May

Dehradun, 26 Feb: Karmabhoomi Foundation of Uttarakhand, established in memory of leading journalist and freedom fighter from Kotdwar, Pandit Bhairav Dutt Dhulia will host its third ceremony to honour an eminent journalist in Almora on 18 May. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh. Nominations for this can be submitted to the foundation through email at karmabhoomifoundation.uk@gmail.com by the individuals, organisations or the candidates themselves by 30 April 2025.

The Foundation has constituted a search and selection committee to identify and select the winners. The committee comprises Sumitra Dhulia, who is the chairperson of the foundation, Prof Subhash Dhulia, former VC of Uttarakhand Open University, DP Gairola, former chairman of Uttarakhand Electricity Regulatory Commission (UERC), Prof Harsh Dobhal, visiting professor at Doon University, senior journalist Anupam Trivedi and Capt Himanshu Dhulia as member secretary.

The award is open to journalists working in Uttarakhand with at least an experience of 15 years.
