Dehradun, 28 May: The KV FRI campus witnessed the glittering Inaugural Ceremony of the KVS U-14 National Football Tournament (Girls U-14). Manish Maithani, International Football Player and the Chief Guest, declared the meet open.
Vinod Kumar Pandey, Officiating Deputy Commissioner, KVS, RO, Dehradun, welcomed the guests, participants and escorts. Also present were Tajuddin Sheikh, Assistant Commissioner, KVS (HQ), Neeta Khurana, Assistant Commissioner, KVS RO, Dehradun, Alka Gupta, Assistant Commissioner, KVS RO, Dehradun, and Venue Principal Viveka Nand Bahukhandi.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Manish Maithani said that Games and Sports instilled discipline and taught cooperation and team spirit. Games and Sports made better human beings.
In today’s matches, Delhi Region beat Patna Region, 1-0. The scorer was Abhinandana. Bhopal Region beat Chennai Region, 1-0. Jaipur Region beat Agra Region, 1-0. The scorer was Dimple Chaudhary. Mumbai Region beat Bangalore Region, 2-0. The scorers were Pragati and Nilisha.
The programme was conducted by Rajesh Kukreti and Tara Joshi. Sanjeev Gupta, DM Lakhera, Rajni Joshi, Uma Bhatnagar, Kamla Samant, Manjul, KK Kala, Kamlesh Bijalwan, Paritosh Vaid, Nabeel Ahmad, AB Madaan, NK Kala, AK Joshi and SP Dobhal along with other staff members were also present on the occasion.
