Mussoorie, 18 Aug: Like last year, this year also, Lions Club Mussoorie Hills organised Rakhi making competitions in various schools. The girl students handed over handmade protective threads for the soldiers on the borders to the club with their good wishes. The club selected the first three Rakhis from each school to award them at a programme to be organised on the upcoming Hindi Diwas. Around 500 children from Bachpan Play School, Mussoorie Girls Inter College, Sanatan Dharma Girls Inter College, Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College participated in the competition.
Lions Club Mussoorie Hills presented all the collected Rakhis with the names of the children along with a greeting card to the ITBP soldiers before Rakshabandhan. The soldiers emotionally accepted this Raksha Sutra as a priceless gift.
On this occasion, Praveen Gupta, AS Panwar, Anuj Tayal, Rajiv Goyal provided special cooperation in organising the competition.
