DEHRADUN, 5 Sep: ‘Breathing Arts’ was launched here at Antara Senior Living on 3 September in the presence of guest speakers Divya Dutta and Maria Goretti. The event was moderated by Anurag Chauhan, the Founder of Humans for Humanity and Breathing Arts. Sangeeta Sofat was the host for the event. Antara experienced a memorable evening with the guest speakers – Divya Dutta and Maria Goretti. Divya is a National award-winning actor, author and poet. She has been a part of more than hundred Hindi as well as Punjabi films. Maria, who is India’s first celebrity home chef, presents easy-to-make recipes in her debut book – “From My Kitchen To Yours”.
Breathing Arts is the brainchild of Anurag Chauhan, with a vision to bring exposure to the tier 2-3 cities in India of literature, arts and culture. The objective of the organisation is to promote the intangible and tangible cultural heritage of our country. The organisation also works on preserving and reviving the dying art forms, traditions, etc.
The first session saw the launch of Divya’s bestselling book, “The Stars in My Sky” published by Penguin India. This was Divya’s second visit to Dehradun. The author was overwhelmed by the reception she received.
Maria’s Gourmand Award-Winning book “From My Kitchen to Yours” published by OM International was launched next. Maria spoke about how she realised her love for cooking once she had children of her own. This gives her book a personal touch of love, passion and integrity. She also expressed her admiration for the city, as this was her first visit to Dehradun.
With a full house at Antara Senior Living, the attendees participated in the sessions enthusiastically. The question and answer session with the audience was especially illuminating and informative as it provided a deeper insight into the authors’ lives as well as their work.
