Dehradun, 30 Dec: The BJP today expressed satisfaction over the filing of nominations by all its authorised candidates for the civic elections and claimed a coming one-sided victory.
Wishing the candidates well, State Party President Mahendra Bhatt today stated that the formation of BJP led boards is certain in most of the urban local bodies in the upcoming polls. He appealed to the workers to seek the blessings of the people for the formation of a well-organised, safe, and prosperous body.
Reacting to the completion of the nomination process, Bhatt said that all the candidates including the Mayoral ones and for the Municipal Chairpersons, and Nagar Panchayat Chairpersons decided by the party in the state, have filed their nominations. In his message to the workers, he claimed that under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Dhami, the country and the state are continuously moving rapidly on the path of development. The double-engine government of BJP, along with the outgoing local bodies, have made unprecedented improvements in the lifestyle of the common people and urban infrastructure. With the cooperation of the Centre, the state government has taken forward the work of improving the rapidly changing cities. Now, the decisive responsibility of building well-organised, safe, and prosperous bodies through these development works lies with the upcoming public representatives. Since the BJP’s record on this issue is excellent, the candidates should get maximum blessings from the public.
Bhatt reminded that, in the last civic elections, 7 out of 9 mayors were of BJP and that the BJP had won most of the civic seats. But this time, the atmosphere is even better in favour of the party as compared to the past.
Expressing great satisfaction, Bhatt said that the disciplined workers have unanimously accepted the party’s decision. The few nominations made by party members as independent candidates due to technical or other reasons will be discussed by the party officials, and their final decision will be in favour of the party’s betterment. He further claimed that by the last date of withdrawal of nominations, all such people would stand in support of the official candidate of the party.
