MAMS U-14 Inter- School Cricket Tournament begins today

DEHRADUN, 27 Mar: The MAMS Invitational Under-14 Inter School Cricket Tournament is slated to begin tomorrow. The tournament is being organised by Maa Anandmayee Memorial School (MAMS), Raiwala, as part of its vision to promote grassroots sports and to give an impetus to budding talent. The tournament will be played in the League cum Knock our format and each match will be of 30 overs a side played with red balls.
The following teams are taking part in this year’s edition: GEMS Modern Academy (Dubai), The Doon School (Dehradun), Pinegrove School (Dharampur, HP), and hosts MAMS (Raiwala). The opening match of the tournament will be played between Pinegrove School and the host team.
MAMS Director Arpit Panjwani said that it had been the school’s relentless endeavour to promote competitive spirit and exposure amongst its students at a very early age and hence the school management took pride in organising events for Junior boys. He briefed the media about the upcoming STEM project of the school under the Atal Innovation Mission, and also disclosed that live scores of the Cricket Matches will be available on the Crickbuzz app.
