Dehradun, 22 Nov: Uttarakhand government effected a major administrative reshuffle today. In all, 25 officers including 11 IAS were transferred by the government today. All the transfers are of middle or lower level bureaucrats. The IAS officers transferred today are of 2017 batch or later. The orders regarding the transfers have been issued under signatures of Secretary Personnel Shailesh Bagoli.

Dehradun’s Municipal Commission Manuj Goyal (IAS of 2017 batch) was among those shifted. He has not been replaced by anyone though senior PCS Officer Veer Singh Budiyal has been transferred as Additional Municipal Commissioner in Dehradun. Budiyal was earlier posted as ADM Rudraprayag.
It may be recalled that the term of the current Municipal Corporation is getting over which will lead to the appointment of administrators. Hence, one can expect a relatively senior IAS officer to be soon appointed as Municipal Commissioner.
Manuj Goyal has been transferred as Additional Secretary Rural Development in the Uttarakhand Administration. Surprisingly, he has not been transferred as a district magistrate. At the same time IAS Varun Chaudhary, also of 2017 batch has been transferred as Municipal Commissioner in Haridwar. He was earlier posted as CDO Pithoragarh.
IAS Sandeep Tiwari who was presently posted as CDO Nainital has been transferred as MD, Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN). Abhinav Shah, a 2019 batch IAS office, who was presently posted as Joint Magistrate Roorkee has been posted as CDO Chamoli while Nandan Kumar, presently posted as Joint Magistrate in Mussoorie has been transferred as CDO Pithoragarh. Dinesh Shashni has been posted as Joint Magistrate in Roorkee while Deepak Saini has been transferred as Joint Magistrate Mussoorie. PCS officer Ashok Kumar Pandey has been transferred as CDO Nainital, Lalit Narayan Mishra has been transferred as Additional Director at Urban Development Directorate in Dehradun.
Senior PCS officer Shyam Singh Rana has been transferred as ADM Rudraprayag, while Anil Garbyal, presently posted as GM with GMVN has been transferred as GM (Admin) with Uttarakhand Transport Corporation. Dayanand Saraswati has been transferred as GM with GMVN in place of Garbyal.
