Dehradun, 8 Aug: The Schools that participated in the Mindspree event hosted by St Jude’s School today were St Thomas’ College, Hilton School, Summer Valley School, St Joseph’s Academy, Carman School Dalanwala, Oak Grove School, Mussoorie, The Presidency International School, Ann Mary School, St Patrick’s Academy, The Tons Bridge School, St Jude’s School, Wynberg Allen School, Sri Ram Centennial School, The Heritage School and Doon Presidency School.
The Chief Guest on the first day was Gaurav Yadav, a Founder & Moderator of the Indian Principals’ Network (IPN). He is a Quizmaster and International Award Winner. Gaurava, also founded and moderates India’s 1st Knowledge Network of School Leaders titled Indian Principals Network.
The first day was an eventful one with events like General Knowledge Quiz & Reasoning Competition, Business Quiz, Science Project and Artificial Intelligence & Robotics Contest.
In the Mindspree Inter-School General Knowledge, Logical Thinking and Reasoning Quiz, the Winners were Summer Valley School, the First Runners Up were St Joseph’s Academy and Second Runners Up were The Tons Bridge School.
A PowerPoint Contest was organised based on the Theme ‘Dream it, Script it and Present it’. The students made a Power Point Presentation and were judged on their creativity, technical quality and originality. The Judges for the Contest were Neha Topal, Dr Vikas Sharma and Harshal Gunwant.
The Winners were St Joseph’s Academy and the First Runners Up were St Thomas’s College.
An Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Project Making Contest was held to highlight talent in advance learning and collaboration. The Judges for the Contest were Sumit Wadhwa (STC), Neha Topal (Him Jyoti School) and Harshal Gunwant (Doon School). There was a tie for the First Position between St Patrick’s Academy and St Jude’s School but being the host school, St Jude’s School gave the First Runners Up trophy to St Patrick’s Academy. The Second Runners Up were Carman School, Dalanwala.
In the Business Quiz the Winners were St Jude’s School, but being the host school they gave away the trophy to Ann Mary School. The First Runners-up were St Patrick’s Academy and Second Runners Up were Carman School.
In the Science Project Contest, Wynberg Allen School were adjudged the winners. There was a tie between St Joseph’s Academy and St Jude’s School for the First Runners Up position. Being the host School, St Jude’s School gave the trophy to St Joseph’s Academy. The contest was judged by G Ahuja (Principal, Shiwalik School), Dr Arun Kumar (Doon University) and Poonam Pasbola (Summer Valley School).
