Dehradun, 2 Apr: Keeping the upcoming tourism season in mind, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi today conducted an on-site inspection of the under-construction valley bridge on the Mussoorie–Dehradun road. During the visit, he reviewed the progress of the construction work and issued necessary directions to the officials concerned.
It is worth noting that, a few days ago, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi had held a meeting with officials from the Public Works Department and the Forest Department. In the meeting, he had instructed that before the construction of a permanent bridge, a temporary bridge should be built to ensure smooth traffic management during the tourism season.
In line with those directions, he visited the site today to assess the ongoing work.
During the inspection, Ganesh Joshi directed the Public Works Department officials to ensure that the construction of the Bailey bridge is completed before the start of the tourism season under all circumstances, so that tourists and local residents do not face any inconvenience.
He stated that the construction of this bridge will improve traffic management on the Mussoorie–Dehradun road, provide relief from traffic congestion, and make commuting smoother for the public.
