New Delhi, 16 Oct: Uttarakhand Minister of Tourism, Public Works, Irrigation, Panchayati Raj, Rural Construction, Watershed Management, Religious Affairs and Culture Satpal Maharaj paid a courtesy call on Vice President CP Radhakrishnan at his New Delhi residence. During the meeting, he extended Diwali greetings and invited the Vice President to visit Uttarakhand.
Minister Maharaj apprised the Vice President of the ongoing initiatives of the State Tourism Department, highlighting efforts being undertaken to promote spiritual, cultural, and heritage tourism in the state. He also shared information about the Kartikeya Swami Temple in Uttarakhand, a revered religious destination, as well as the prehistoric rock paintings of the Lakhudiyar Caves located in Almora, which hold significant archaeological importance.
He expressed hope that the Vice President’s visit would further strengthen national recognition of Uttarakhand’s spiritual heritage and cultural legacy.
