DEHRADUN, 11 Feb: Law College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University, felicitated Mukul Rawat, an alumnus of the college who has been selected to the Judge Advocate General Corps of the Indian Army. As per the merit list declared and placed on the website of the Indian Army, Mukul Rawat has taken the 6th Rank among a total of 13 selected candidates in the list.
Mukul Rawat basically belongs to Village Saso Mavalsiu of District Pauri Garhwal. His father, BS Rawat is a Warrant Officer in the Indian Air Force and is stationed in New Delhi.
Dr Rajesh Bahuguna, Principal, revealed that Mukul Rawat was the 3rd student of Law College to be selected to serve in JAG. Before him, one student was selected by the Indian Navy and the other by the Indian Army.
Chancellor Jitendra Joshi felicitated Mukul Rawat and presented him a Memento. The proud parents Warrant Officer BS Rawat and Shashi Rawat were also felicitated on the occasion.
Mukul Rawat said belief in teachers and patience were the key to success. Everything required for success in this examination was taught in the classes.
Also present were Dr Poonam Rawat, Rajeev Kukreti, VK Kaul, S Anand, Dr Prabha Lama, Dr Anil Dixit, Naresh Semwal and hundreds of students.
