Nadda discusses anti-Corona strategy with BJP leaders

DEHRADUN, 20 Apr: BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda today held a video conference with the BJP leaders from Uttarakhand. Apart from reviewing the activities and relief work carried out by the party leaders in view of the Corona crisis, he also asked them and workers to speak to the maximum number of people in the state and appeal to them to follow the advisory in the form of Saptshati Mantra given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in dealing with the Corona pandemic.
Nadda and party National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh spoke to Uttarakhand BJP state President Banshidhar Bhagat and all MPs today via video conferencing. He reviewed in detail the activities carried out by the party in the state during the lockdown period. Nadda said that all possible alternative means of communication with common people be used more while maintaining the protocols regarding social distancing and traffic restrictions. He also asked them to remain in touch with various social and religious organisations and their heads and coordinate relief operations in view of the Corona lockdown.
Nadda asked the MPs to ensure more active participation in this campaign. He said that MPs ought to directly interact with ordinary party workers in their respective constituencies.
On the occasion, State President Bhagat provided detailed information about the campaign conducted by the party till now in the state. He said that the party had distributed 12,26,926 food packets since 28 March. Dry ration packets and other essential materials were distributed to 1,28,751 people. The party had reached out to 15,58,214 beneficiaries, so far. Financial contribution of more than Rs 2.5 crores had also been raised for the PM CARES Fund through the efforts of party workers in the state, thus far. Constant efforts were being made to get people to download the Arogya Setu App. Women party leaders and workers were also contributing to producing face masks, and their free distribution. During the video conferencing, Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, National Media in-charge and Rajya Sabha Member Anil Baluni, Nainital MP Ajay Bhatt, Garhwal MP Tirath Singh Rawat, Tehri MP Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah also gave details of activities in their constituencies. During the video conferencing, State General Secretary Kuldeep Kumar, Treasurer Puneet Mittal, Media in-charge Manbir Chauhan, Rajiv Talwar, Shekhar Verma were among those present along with Bhagat in the state party office during the video conference.
